Here are three very short New Yorker cartoons that you can use to lay the groundwork for that dreaded coursebook lesson on future trends and predictions.
Yes, because every coursebook under the sun, irrespective of level and target audience, includes a lesson on future trends and predictions and chances are, I know, that you’re about to teach one of these lessons some time soon. So here are three very short video excerpts to help you introduce the topic and hopefully arouse students’ interest. These excerpts are not meant for listening comprehension or any sort of in-depth language work – they’re more like moving flashcards, if you will.
If you enjoyed these excerpts, check out my present perfect cartoons, too.
Thanks for reading.
